Please pray for my grandpa, Gilbert Decker. For roughly the past decade, he has been battling an Alzheimer's diagnosis and we were informed by email today that he is now receiving in-home hospice care.

I don't know the details surrounding his sudden change in condition (I say sudden because my Dad and Step-Mom were in California just 2 weeks ago helping to take care of him and they said he was the same as their last visit).

As hospice-care signifies a change from medical care geared towards preservation of life to medical care geared towards comfort, I'd ask that our church family be praying for just that…comfort for my Grandpa, peace and comfort for my step-grandmother, Sandy Decker, and comfort for the many Deckers in my extended family who may not get the opportunity to travel to say goodbye as it's been requested not to travel to California at this time.
