HAL ROGERS -[Lead guitarist, singer extrodinare, song writer and great all around musician] his soft melodist voice adds a new deminsion to the vocals of THE MARS HILL PORCH PICKERS.  He can make you cry and laugh at the same time.

Hal just plain loves to play and sing any chance he gets.

He is a soft spoken, laid back sorta guy. Doesn't say much, maybe a "Well.... or Alright...." now and again. But when he plays his guitar leads and sings his songs he SPEAKS VOLUMES. He also Loves to laugh and loves to see audience folks smilin', toe-tappin' & enjoying our music.

He is a well versed lead guitar player with unique licks of his own design.  He plays a variety of great Bluegrass tunes and knows just when to add the right emphasis on a run of the fret bars on his guitar. 

Hal is extremely talented in many dfferent songs and writes a bunch of his own. We have added a couple to our GIG lists on many occassions.
